Granite Guard®
provides an impregnating, invisible and breathable barrier which protects natural stone, granite, marble, limestone,
porous tile, pavers and grout from damage caused by salts, water-based stains and oil based stains.Granite
Guard® penetrates into the stone to
protect from staining; it does not coat or sit on top of the surface of the stone.
How Granite Guard® Works
Porous materials
are like sponges. Millions of microscopic pores pull liquids into and dissolve salts into the stone, which can stain and sometimes
permanently damage the material. Granite Guard® impregnating sealers use nanotechnology to alter the natural surface
energy of the building material. These molecules bond permanently inside the microscopic pores of the
stone without clogging them, so breathability is unchanged. The molecules alter the surface of the material so liquids are
repelled rather than absorbed. Because of the depth of the penetration in the stone, it provides many unique benefits
